What is the relationship between college athletics and philanthropy? In the two-week run-up of Saint Peters’ journey in the NCAA basketball tournament, the school raised $2.5M. Typically the school would raise $500,000 during this time. Schools report increased donations, memorabilia and clothing sales, and more when their athletic teams win.
